With the sensor on, the eight direction points on the D-Pad work as a point-of-view, or hat switch. Use the D-Pad to look up, down, left and right in your game.

With the sensor off, use the D-Pad to move you up, down, left, right, and in some games, in the four diagonal directions.

In Sensor on mode, the D-Pad's eight directional points are programmable in the Game Controller Profiler.
